Design Process
As a designer, Kurt Dempsey creates beautiful, functional spaces using a variety of natural elements and distinctive products. Kurt has a passion for sustainability in the landscape and by utilizing natural stone and native plants where appropriate, a landscape requires less time and fewer resources to maintain while lasting season after season.
A consultation takes place on site to discuss the homeowner’s tastes and their vision for the space.
After conducting detailed site analysis, a hand-drawn design is created reflecting the homeowner’s desires and Greenstone’s unique perspective.
The design is presented allowing the homeowner to give their feedback.
After any required design revisions are made, the homeowner is provided with a quote to complete the work.

About Greenstone
GREENSTONE LANDSCAPE AND DESIGN was founded in 2017 to provide Marquette County with a new option in landscaping and landscape design. Our mission at GREENSTONE is to enhance the beauty and value of every client’s property by providing the highest quality landscape design and construction services, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Kurt Dempsey, Owner/Designer
A native of the Upper Peninsula, Kurt has been involved in the landscape industry since 2004. He received a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Michigan State University, with a focus on landscape design and construction. When he’s not hard at work, Kurt enjoys traveling, playing hockey and spending time outdoors with his family.
